2024 New Student Convocation

Join us at our New Student Convocation on Sunday, August 18th, 2024 9am to 11am (PST)!

This FREE event serves as a formal welcome to SJSU and celebrates our new Spartans from the incoming class of Fall 2024, their parents, family members and supporters.

Starting at 9am, join us on the 7th street plaza for check in and connecting with campus resources as well as enjoy coffee, tea, and light pastries to start the morning.

The ceremony will begin promptly at 10am inside in the Provident Credit Union Event Center. You’ll get a chance to hear from administrators including the University President, Vice President for Student Affairs, and Provost, as well as SJSU faculty, staff, and students. This SJSU tradition marks the start of a new academic year and commemorates the beginning of your academic journey.

After the ceremony, in case you didn't get a chance to before, reconnect with campus resources and continue enjoying refreshments.

Registration will be first come, first serve.

Please fill out the registration page to receive your student's allotment of tickets. There is a MAX of 4 tickets per family, which includes the student's ticket. 

Please make sure to count your student in the total ticket count.
